The 2001

INMC Composition Competition

• Deadline for submissions: April 1st, 2,001
• Awards announced: June 15th, 2,001

Winning composition will be performed at the NYU Summer Music Festival, during the month of June 2001.

Three separate Awards:

• $250 each award category
• Performance of the work at the 2001 NYU Summer Music Festival
• Recording of the dress rehearsal and concert
• One non-commercial CD of the recorded concert and dress rehearsal

Conditions, limitations:

• Competition open to all ages and citizenships
• Open only to unpublished works
• Each submission: $25. Two submissions $45, Each additional $20
• Composers must have an email address for notifications and communications

Submission and returns:

• Score and parts, an optional tape/CD/DAT of a performance of the work, short bio information and a 4/6 photo
• A personal check or money order written to INMC Inc. , and earmarked: "for the INMC Competition", $25 for one, $45 for two works, $20 for each additional work submitted*
• Supporting Tape or CD or DAT: Required separate accompaning Tape/CD/DAT for the Solo Instrument and tape/CD cathegory, and the Tape/CD/DAT for the computer or electronic work.
• A SASE envelop for the return of the submitted materials. All others will be donated to the American Music Center.
