Percussion, Composerassisted by three of his Italian students
Luigi Morleo is a graduate with honors from N. Piccini Conservatory in Bari. He has collaborated with various orchestras and chamber groups in Italy and abroad, and has been invited as a solo performer at many international festivals, such as: Festival of new sound experiments -Audio Box - RAI radio 1, Festival of contemporary arts and Ripercussioni in Venice, Lucern Festival (Switzerland), Center of the ArtsMasaotita in Bologna, Container Contemporaneo in Florence, Quarto di S. Giusta in Aquila, The International Summer Theater in Hamburg, Taso Debole in Pisa, etc. He has created music for theater and film. Mr. Morleo is published by Cavalieri Editions, Agenda of Bologna, and by Tirreno Gruppo Editoriale in Milan. Presently he is an associate professor at the N. Piccini Conservatory in Bari. He directs the Bari Percussion Ensemble, which this year is visiting the US for the first time. The membership this time, consists of Giuseppe Grondona , Attilio Terlizzi , Tarcisio Molinaro, also Luigi Morleo.
